Dubai Mainland company registration is a straightforward process that requires careful planning and adherence to local regulations. The first step is to choose a business activity that aligns with the commercial regulations set by the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED). This will determine the type of trade license you need. The next step involves selecting a company name. The name must adhere to the legal naming conventions set by DED and cannot include any offensive or restricted words.

After finalizing the business activity and company name, you need to decide on the ownership structure. For most mainland businesses in Dubai, a local sponsor or service agent, who is a UAE national, must hold 51% of the shares, though certain sectors allow 100% foreign ownership.

Next, you prepare and submit the necessary documents, including passport copies, proof of residence, and the company’s Memorandum of Association. After document approval, you proceed with payment of Dubai mainland company registration fees. Once all formalities are completed, you receive your trade license, which legally allows your business to operate on the mainland of Dubai. The entire process typically takes a few weeks, depending on the complexity of the business and compliance with local laws.
